Security
Built into ULTRAMAIN is a powerful security architecture that allows application security administrators to control user access to software and data, including the ability to establish users, logons and associations. The software will allow users to access authorized areas only.
With ULTRAMAIN, administrators can also control what users do in different areas of the software. For instance, users can be granted rights only to view records and nothing else. Or they can be granted rights to add/edit records, or possibly also to delete records. ULTRAMAIN provides audit trails of who did what and when, just in case.
In addition to securing software access, your security administrators can also secure data access, so that even if a user has access to an area of the software, they can be restricted to access only some of the data, not all. For example, a user may be associated with a specific shop and have access to ULTRAMAIN work orders, but should only be allowed to access work orders for that shop, and not for all shops. This type of data security is supported in ULTRAMAIN without the need for segregated databases.
