eReporting™

Body:

eReporting is integrated flight crew reporting software that replaces paper Air Safety Reports and In Flight Reports with a fully electronic reporting system that operates on EFB. When certain incidents take place, pilots (or cabin crew) are required to make an Air Safety Report (ASR) or an In Flight Report (IFR). Some of these incidents are: AirProx, ATC, TCAS, GPWS, Wake Turbulence, Bird Strike, Pax Behavior, Catering Issues, and Meal Shortage.

eReporting software operates on EFB hardware onboard aircraft. For Class 2 and 3 EFBs eReporting can integrate with data available to the EFBs from the ARINC 429 busses. Flight crews use EFB touch-screen on the glass to move about screens and make reports. Data is sent to the eReporting Ground System via whichever off-aircraft data communications links are available (ACARS, SATLINK, Gatelink, etc.). The eReporting Ground System, which comes with eReporting, integrates with other airline systems for post-report actioning.
