Software Engineer Intern - (8/19/08)

Join a dynamic software development and support team as a paid software engineer intern. Our proprietary software is an integrated maintenance and logistics software used in organizations such as:

    · Aviation (Cathay Pacific Airlines, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic Airways)
    · Transit (Ann Arbor Transit, Cleveland Transit)
    · Facility Maintenance (Knowledge Learning Corporation, formally Kinder Care)

Job Purpose: To develop business software for maintenance, purchasing, supply, and financial applications. Coding in Java and/or Progress 4GL.

Requirements:
    · Degree concentration - Management Information Systems or Management of Technology

    · Current ASM undergraduate or graduate student

    · Excellent analytical problem solving skills

    · Excellent interpersonal communication skills

    · Team work skills with customer service focus

    · Ability to work 20 – 30 hours per week within an 8 am – 5 pm timeframe

    · Willingness to commit to a minimum of a six month appointment

Progress Software Engineer (7/17/08)

We're looking for an experienced Progress Software Engineer to assist our software development team.

Contract 40 hours/week.
Duration, 6 months to 1 year.

Job Purpose: Develop business software for maintenance, purchasing, supply and financial applications.

Requirement:

    · 3+ years relational database and Progress 4GL programming preferred.

    · Job Location: onsite at our Albuquerque, New Mexico office
Skills/Qualifications: Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills. Be detail oriented. Able to work with minimum supervision. Aviation or mechanical background a plus.

System/Network Administrator (6/6/08)

We are looking for an experienced Information Technology professional to support our day-to-day IT operations in our busy maintenance and logistical software development company. A strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server systems is required. 2+ years of experience with computer hardware, desktop productivity software, network security and system administration is required. Basic knowledge of MS Exchange, UNIX, Oracle and MS SQL DBMS, Citrix/WTS, and Java Application servers is desirable. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Java Software Engineer - Developer (5/2/08)

We're looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer/Developer to join our software development and support team. Our division's proprietary aviation software encompasses a custom component-based on-board framework that supports application communication with our Java EE Ground System components.


Job Purpose: To architect, design, implement and document java-based solutions (including server-side and UI components) to aviation challenges.

Duties Include:

    · Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications, setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determine design methodologies and tool sets; design and conduct tests.

    · Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.

    · Completes application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

    · Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

    · Updates job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in support forums and professional organizations.

    · Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the team.
Requirement:
    · 4+ years JAVA programming experience required.

    · Variety of experience preferred. Some background in at least some of the following: Networking/Communication, JNI, Swing, Spring, EJB3, JAXB, AOP, Graphics (3-D and/or 2-D), ESB, Java EE

    · Familiarity with industry design patterns

    · Some background in the aviation industry preferred but not required

    · Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills, be detail oriented, and able to work with minimum supervision

    · Must be flexible, able to take on new projects in varied environments, and must be able to research and learn new technologies independently
