Views

ULTRAMAIN is designed using a uniform workspace layout for each functional area of the software. Part of the workspace layout is an area that allows users to easily access and view data that is pertinent to the functional area they are in, for instance: work orders, materials, purchasing, warranty, etc.

Views are windows into the database where users can quickly and easily access data they need (in accordance with data access security). Users can select needed records from the View and do a number of things with them such as populate the workspace they are in, thereby allowing use of the data within the software. They can also send the data externally via PDF output to spreadsheets and more.

Users can set up Views anyway they want, then name and save the setup and have that setup be their default View whenever they access the workspace. Setups can be per individual user, by user role or organization wide. Views improve ease of use and productivity.
