New Hangar Planning Ensures You'll Never Again Go Back to the Drawing Board

Date:
October 2009

Have you ever spent hours writing on a dry-erase board trying to present a plan across time, only to realize later that major flaws exist in your beautiful plan? How do you fix it? Of course, you have to erase everything and then re-draw it. What happens when your markers run dry? That's where the plan ends, right? ULTRAMAIN's new Hangar Utilization Planning tool will ensure that you never run out of ink, and your eraser will soon be used to collect dust. The Hangar Slots gantt chart presents all of your planned work graphically against a calendar, with each hangar represented with its own row. The standard v9 layers functionality makes it possible to use colors to display your planned work by package status, by fleet type, or by whatever you feel is important. You can also add new packages to the schedule by "drawing" a package right on the gantt chart. When it comes time to adjust your plan, you may do so by dragging and dropping packages wherever you see fit, or simply resizing the bar to add or subtract time.  Of course, just like with Line Maintenance Planning, you can life cycle the package from within the chart, and add and remove scope whenever the need arises. The Hangar Utilization Planning tool will be publicly unveiled at MRO Asia in Hong Kong December 8-10 2009 see it at Stand 416.
