KLM to Present at MRO Americas
Donald van Tongeren, Project Manager for KLM Airlines, will be giving a presentation on Advance Technology Enablers for Data Management on Thursday, April 22 at 10am as part of MRO Americas in Phoenix. Two years ago, KLM went live with ULTRAMAIN® efbTechLogs™, electronic technical log software that replaces the traditional paper tech log. The software operates on Class 1, 2, or 3 hardware devices onboard aircraft. The resulting project with efbTechLogs and KLM's existing systems, called e-ATL, allows cockpit, cabin, MCC, and maintenance crews at KLM to report, analyze, defer, and close aircraft defects reported directly from the aircraft in real time.
efbTechLogs has had a much broader impact at KLM than we originally planned," said van Tongeren. We implemented the system with certain benefits in mind, but once we installed it, we found so many more possibilities for it than we had originally intended.
The presentation at MRO Americas will give details on how the project has worked for KLM, what benefits they've seen, and what the future holds for the project and for KLM.Ultramain Systems will be demonstrating efbTechLogs at MRO Americas as well, April 20-22 in Booths 316-318.
