Ultramain efbTechLogs for Apple iPad Unveiled at EFB Users Forum in Montreal

Date:
May 2011

Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA — May 27, 2011 — Ultramain Systems, Inc. (USI) unveiled ULTRAMAIN® efbTechLogs™ software for the Apple® iPad® at the Joint AEEC Electronic Flight Bag Users Forum & IATA EFB Task Force meeting in Montreal May 17-19, 2011.

efbTechLogs was the first electronic technical log software approved by a regulatory authority for use on connected EFB. Ultramain Systems, as part of its commitment to keeping its technology at the cutting edge, was quick to develop an efbTechLogs app for the iPad.

"The aircraft technical log is the core of one of the most highly-regulated operational processes in aviation," said Tim Spears, vice president of Onboard Systems for Ultramain Systems. "Now airlines considering the iPad as their Electronic Flight Bag can include efbTechLogs as part of their solution."

efbTechLogs operates on Class 1, 2, or 3 EFBs and has fully replaced the paper technical log. USI's ground-based software, ULTRAMAIN efbGroundSystem™ and proven infrastructure components support all three EFB classes, now including the iPad. efbGroundSystem also connects the electronic logbook to maintenance software systems.

This unveiling follows the release of ULTRAMAIN eCabin™ software on the Apple iPad.
