Knowledge Learning Corporation’s (KLC) Facilities Management Division will be our first customer to use our hosting service to access ULTRAMAIN over the Internet. The upgrade currently in UAT with KLC (go-live scheduled for July 27, 2009) will move their current Ultramain v7 applications into our v9 technology in a hosted environment.

KLC is very excited to be taking this step as it represents a giant leap forward in data integrity, access to data and management flexibility. By taking advantage of USI’s ability to host v9, KLC will also be able to reduce the support burden on their extremely busy IT department. Once completed, the upgrade to v9 will advance all the applications currently in use by KLC - Capital Projects, Work Order Dispatch, Technician Work Orders and Center Work Orders. Hosting of the v9 software will be accomplished through a service located in downtown Albuquerque.

Rich Gleave, Senior Director, Facilities Management for KLC, is encouraged by USI's tenure as their software provider.

Rich Gleave at the Albuquerque USI office.
"The upgrade to v9 and hosting of the software by USI is simply outstanding. The partnership we’ve enjoyed with the entire USI team over the last 12 years has positioned us to be a most effective Facilities Management organization. We have great confidence in USI’s products and personnel and their ability to assist us in keeping our operations running smoothly."

With this new hosting service and upgrade to v9, KLC will be able to focus on their core business and less on the tools that support their business. Since, USI will be responsible for installing the latest patches and making sure the software is completely up-to-date, KLC can focus on maintaining and improving the thousands of learning centers and schools they operate worldwide.

John Warren, USI Technical Vice President, believes that hosting the customer's software is a natural progression for v9 technology.

"We've discussed hosting Ultramain v9 products for our customers for several years now.  With the vision and leadership of KLC's Rich Gleave, we now have the opportunity to turn discussion into action."

Be on the lookout for more information on these exciting developments in next month's issue of the Ultramain Flyer.
