Ultramain Given Top Award by New Mexico's Technology Council
Albuquerque, NM – April 9, 2009 – Ultramain Systems Inc. was given the top technology award by the NM Technology Council April 2, 2009. Ultramain, a software development company that specializes in aviation maintenance software, received the top award for the third time Thursday night. Ultramain's efbTechLogs won two awards in 2007. The Technology Solution Award was presented to Ultramain this year for its first to market, in-cockpit electronic reporting software called eReporting. This software operates on electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware located in airline cockpits.
"EFB software is a new and promising field with great opportunity for airline productivity improvements. We develop innovative software solutions for EFBs and are pleased to see our work achieve such recognition" said Tim Spears, Director of Ultramain's Onboard Systems Division.
Ultramain created its Onboard Systems division to develop EFB software onboard aircraft for use with ground maintenance systems. This reduces airline delays and associated costs. Ultramain achieved a first in aviation history in 2008 when its products eReporting and efbTechLogs were the first of the kind systems to go "live" with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on their Boeing 777-300 fleet.
"Our onboard software development is leading the market and complements our existing ground based maintenance and logistics software" said John Warren, Technical Vice President. "But we bring our aircraft innovations to other industries as well."
